A 25-year-old male asked:

Whats the best full body scan available to get if you're worried about cancer?

Worry and scans: Besides unwanted radiation exposure, full body scanning is likely to result in "incidental findings " ( variations from normal that are of questionable clinical significance) that lead to further testing and create more worries.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.

The best full body scan is the PET/CT scan. In order to get one you must have a certain diagnosis. Like a lung mass. You can also have one done as part of a cancer work up. Its just not available for anyone to receive. It is terribly expensive as well...like in the 8 to 10 thousand range.
