Probably should wait: Antibiotic treatment can trigger yeast infections, but usually it doesn't. And yeast is more likely with some antibiotics than others. It's unusual to prescribe anti-yeast treatment just because of an antibiotic prescription, unless the patient previously had yeast triggered by the same drug. Probably best to wait and take fluconazole only if you get yeast symptoms. But check w/ your doctor.

No rush to start FLU: I do not think it is a good idea to take Fluconazole right away when you are starting your antibiotic because Fungal/yeast infections do not occur in everyone, not even in half of the people who take antibiotics. There is no good medical reason to try to preempt this prob;em because it is not all that predictable. Fluconazole does not come free(from its own costs and potential side effects).
