Foot pain: Foot pains and spasms are not normal at any time. Are you suffering from any endocrine disorder such as diabetes or from a vascular disorder such as PVD? You need to be examined and the possibility of some endocrine or vascular problem should be ruled out. Also a neuropathy can cause this type of pain. Don't ignore this. See your physician.

Check the Flow.: The symptoms you have, need a thorough clinical evaluation. When pain, especially terrible pain, occurs when sitting and relieved when standing, signals a serious look into the vascular status of your left leg. Since this is the most serious of the possibilities, I would think that having your vascular status would be foremost. If there is no vascular problem, then explore other potential causes.
