Ear ache: Ear irrigation usually shouldn't cause a lot of problems with pain, if done right. If the irrigation was done pretty vigorously, it could cause an irritation or even infection, which would translate into an ear ache. Most of the time it will get better without treatment, but occasionally the ear will need to be treated by an ENT specialist. If the pain continues or there is drainage see an ENT
