I have had an on and off ear ache since flying across the country 2.5 days ago. it's gotten worse today, should i drop everything and see a doctor?

Ear ache: Any hearing loss? If so then see someone. Most likely some fluid in the middle ear due to poor eustachian tube function and the changes in altitude with flying. You could try some decongestant, nasal saline and a heating pad over your ear for 20 minutes a few times per day.

Eustachian tubes: Eustachian tubes close up and don't want to open. Ask a pilot for the ways they get their Eustachian tubes open - they can show you easier than tell you. If unable to open, then see the Doctor.
