Ultrasound: If you are on oral contraceptives and continue to have heavy bleeding, it may indicate that there is something structural that is preventing your uterus from getting rid of blood in a organized fashion. Sometimes fibroids and polyps can lead to irregular bleeding, alternatively your heavy periods could be related to a hormonal issue. Consider a consult to discuss more of your history.
