Severe sleep apnea: The numbers show that your cousin has severe sleep apnea. He needs treatment, most likely with a respiratory assist device like CPAP, though other approaches may be appropriate depending on the specifics of his presentation. While he is waiting, he should be advised to avoid sedatives like alcohol and sleep deprivation, both of which can acutely worsen apneic events.

Sleep on side: Usually events are worst in the supine position then by been on the side could help. Also try to treat nasal congestion if present Although not acute, try to loose wait
