I recently, over the last two days developed what i think to be a boil on the inside of my buttock near my anus. i am prone to boils, and recently had a cyst behind my right ear. i'm unsure if i should continue self home care with heat or call pcp?

Is it painful? If it is painful, you should call you doctor. If it is not painful, you can apply heat. Because of its location, it is likely to rupture. Once that happens, you may need to call your doctor because you need to avoid infection. You may need this looked at to make sure it is not infected. Good luck!
