Absolutely.: If you have persistent heartburn despite taking Pepcid, (famotidine) it is perfectly acceptable to use Tums as needed in addition. In fact, it is good to neutralize any acid which may be causing you heartburn at that moment. Antacids such as Tums work quickly, but only for a little while. If you persistently have heartburn despite OTC medicines and anti-reflux measures, see your doctor. Good luck.

Yes: Yes it is safe. There is no impact on the therapeutic effects of Pepcid (famotidine) AC if tums is taken 4 hours after.
