Burning stomach what can you take that is more natural instead of tums or pepcid (famotidine)?

Milk or Yogurt: These may help for a milder probelm but antacids are much more effective. You can either take Pepcid (famotidine) double strength or use prilosec...Both of them stop acidity from causing you heartburn.

Prevent/Control GERD: Avoid foods & behavior that delay stomach emptying &/or relax lower esophageal sphincter--spicy, greasy food, mints, alcohol, tobacco, chocolate, tomato products, caffeinated & fizzy drinks, eating before bedtime. Lose weight. Elevate head of bed on blocks. Use otc acid blockers for relief (h2's: tagamet, zantac, (ranitidine) pepcid; ppi's: prilosec, prevacid). Dairy products contain calcium that revs up acid.
