Tums/Pepcid: Pepcid (famotidine) is a histamine h2 receptor antagonist it inhibits stomach acid & is used for ulcers & gerd. Tums is an antacid made of sucrose & calcium carbonate, used for indigestion & heartburn.

No: Tums is basically just a calcium pill while Pepcid (famotidine) is an acid blocker.
