Tibial Stress Syn.: It sounds like shin splints. You are going to have to adjust your exercise routine for a while. A great pair of shoes is in order. applying ice to the painful areas will help with the pain as well as taking an NSID like Motrin. Try exchanging the walking for biking or even a program of non weight bearing exercises until your condition improves. Then begin walking in gradually increasing amounts.
