Theoretically yes ..: The rabies virus could be in the animal's saliva but the CDC says that if you are playing with the animal that is considered a provoked attack. It is when you have a none provoked attack that you have to worry about rabies. I don't know where your from but get in touch with the public health authorities in your area to discuss your situation soon. True rabies if you don't get vaccinated 100% fatal
