Prognosis: I am sorry to hear about your husband. Obviously if he has stage 4 ung cancer and not responding to chemo, we are talking about a very short life span here. Prepare your 2 elder kids by telling them that their father is soon going to go to heaven and they will reunite in life hereafter. Let them spend enough time with him. Get your priest involved or a grief counsellor and other family members.

Family support: First of all, I am very sorry to hear about your husband's condition. It is not easy to discuss about cancer, death and dying to anybody especially to children. I want to share you a link below. Open it and read it- hopefully it can help you. http://www.cancer.org/treatment/childrenandcancer/helpingchildrenwhenafamilymemberhascancer/dealingwithdiagnosis/dealing-with-diagnosis-how-to-tell-children.
