Check kidneys.: At first read, this could be a kidney issue. You should have a urine test for protein and creatinine. You should also have blood testing for BUN, creatinine, albumin, liver functions, thyroid functions, anemia and markers of inflammatory conditions. As well, a 2D Echo for heart function and abdominal ultrasound. You need a doctor's visit.
