Pachymetry ?: It sounds like you are being worked up for the possibility of glaucoma. You need also to know pachymetry, the thickness of the front of the eye which is a parameter involved in glaucoma diagnosis. All the needed tests are available in an ophthalmologists office; you do not need to go to a hospital.
