It is normal: It is normal to be able to pinch skin most anywhere on your body. Precise measurements of the thickness of the skin fold using skin fold calipers can be used and the should be calibrated for correct jaw tension and gap width. There are tables that can be used to estimate body fat percentage based on the thickness measured, but it is no longer considered a reliable method to estimate body fat.
