Consult neurology: This might be just your 10th month old knowing how to get your attention and maybe makes you show facial expressions he/she finds interesting. It is a positive sign that development is otherwise normal, although best to have a neurologist consult and put your mind at ease

Though there are : many fairly benign causes of head-bobbing I'd be uncomfortable reassuring any parent without pediatric neurological & ophthalmological evaluations. Spasmus nutans alone, e.g., starts between 4 mos-3 yrs. & often resolves on its own. It's accompanied by nystagmus, rapid eye movements. Gastroesophageal Reflux is another possibility. I'd look into it a bit more.
