I have endometresois, and have chronic pelvic pain. i have been taking ibuprofen and tylenol, (acetaminophen) using heat, but nothing it helping. i see my gyno next month. is there anything i can do or take to help? pain is 7/10

Endometriosis: Seeing your gynecologist is the right thing to do. With pain like you are describing see if you can get an earlier appointment. you likely need surgical and/or hormonal therapy to treat your pain and endometriosis.

Dose of ibuprofen?: Label directions for OTC ibuprofen say 1 q 4 hours. I often tell patients most people can tolerate Three 200 mg pills 3-4 times a day for 5-7 days. A bigger dose might help, but some people have stomach upset from this dose. If the pain becomes unbearable where you can't function with normal daily activities, this would warrant a trip to urgent care or perhaps an ER.
