Foreign body: Did a doctor remove the needle that you stepped on? There could be a part of the needle still in your foot. Make sure you are seen ASAP to remove any part of it that's still in your foot. Also you should be on a broad spectrum antibiotic. If you don't have a doctor, go to an ER.

Right on Target.: Unless your foot is severely swollen, consistent with a cellulitis involving the bottom of the foot, I think that you may have damaged a nerve on the bottom of the foot. To hurt the LPN with a needle is a long shot, but symptoms you describe could very well telling the story. You need to get to a foot and ankle specialist as soon as possible.
