Hi! im a 31 year old female. dont have any heart problems in my family. i have scoliosis. sometimes (every six months or so) when i take a hot shower my chest feels super tight and it feels like i cant breathe. after a couple seconds the feeling supsides.

Scoliosis problem: Depending on what degree of curvature you have in your spine you may have a real restriction on the amount that you can physically expand your lungs. At your age your growing any bigger but some of your spinal vertebrae may be starting to loose Ca and get smaller. An X-Ray should answer that. Also, serial pulmonary function tests to follow your breathing function.
