Treatment Works: A traumatic physical experience like lung collapse, especially the connection to breathing, can produce significant anxiety even long after the body has been restored to normal functioning. It seems like your anxiety is normal and can be treated successfully with psychotherapy. Talk therapy can help identify, monitor, and reduce/eliminate anxiety symptoms along with breathing/relaxation exercises.
