Receding gums: Can be caused by gum disease, grinding/clenching, malocclusion, tooth position outside (labial/buccal) to bone support, and many other causes. Once gums recede to allow root exposure, teeth can become sensitive. See your Dentist. Referral to Periodontist for gum treatment recommended. If tooth position or parafunctional habits are present, see a qualified Orthodontist.
