Nerve irritation: It is possible that there is swelling and inflammation that is causing pressure on a nerve causing the symptoms. You should see your doctor to make sure there is no abscess starting.

Chronic: You have a chronic problem that will not improve until the offending damaged tooth is removed. Unfortunately it can become an acute problem at the most inappropriate time. Please have your Dentist evaluate this and discuss treatment options with you, and don't put treatment off.

Pressure: Most likely from an infection. Your problem cannot wait. Finance your care, borrow from a friend or relative if you must. The longer you wait, the worse it will get. Damage to nerves and tissues may be irreversible. A severe infection can require hospitalization. Cheaper to extract the tooth ASAP.
