Multiple causes: Some type of obstruction is at the top of the list which might be identified by endoscopy or barium GI study. Reflux, heartburn (non-ulcer dyspepsia), and irritable bowel syndrome are all potential causes. Inflammatory or infectious causes like gall bladder or peptic ulcer disease can cause. There are also metabolic, neurological, psychogenic causes. Only course is careful eval by your doctor.
