Diabetes: Weight in & of itself isn't enough information. We need your height to determine your body mass index to assess normal vs overweight vs obese. Regardless, A1c less than 6.5-7 is accepted goal for younger pts & those w/shorter duration of disease w/less than 8 for those older with shorter lifespan (to minimize risk of stroke, blindness, heart attack, kidney failure & amputations).
