Is it possible to have strep throat without feeling it? my throat looks bad and has white spots on it, but i feel no pain.

Difficult answer: From 5-20% of the general population will be symptom free strep carriers at different times of the year. These do not show blood tests showing an immune response (INFECTION) but a throat swab would be positive.In general, if you have no symptoms other than what you think is a red throat, you don't need treatment. If you have a throat swab done, a positive does not always mean you are infected.

Hello,recently I started to have fever(37-38C) and kind of "funny throat" feeling, to which I am wondering if it's sore/strep throat or something different. I think I spotted one white spot in one of my tonsils when I used the flashlight to inspect?
My 6 year old has been on cefdinir for four days for strep throat. Her breath still smells badly and is still red with white pus spots. Is this normal? We skipped amoxicillin because it didnt kill it last time she had strep?
