Culture/sensitivity: Zithromax, while a good spectrum antibiotic, especially for upper respiratory infection, may be unsuited to your pathogen. A throat culture and sensitivity test to find the proper antibiotic is really the best route. Recurrent throat infections like yours are best evaluated by an ENT specialist, and perhaps your tonsils and adenoids could be the culprit and require removal. Best of luck.
