Baby 7 months gp diagnosed viral throat infection medication zithromax, rinex+mucospect, adco mefenamic acid. 2 days now baby not feeding milk, only purity , but very minimum , i can't tell if it's throat or teething gums , please advise ?

Time to rethink meds: Any infant with a "viral" sore throat does not need an antibiotic and Zithromax can cause gastrointestinal irritation and poor feeding in anyone at any age. I see no reason for any of the other listed meds either with this diagnosis. The problem that will get baby in trouble is dehydration, which will happen if fluid needs aren't met. This may be from the meds.

I went to a gp on 21/12 with sore throat, cough and sore eyes. Temperature was normal. Diagnosis was summer flue. I was then given Cipla-Azithromycin 500g, Be-Tabs prednisone 5mg, Sinustat and unpaid forte. Now food is tasteless and can't smell?
