Doesn't make sense: Azithromycin is not active against most antibiotics that cause UTI. Also UTIs are rare in males your age and not a likely cause of such symptoms. If the nurse thinks you might have chlamydia, azithromycin would be a good choice, but also unlikely for these symptoms. You need more diagnostic testing before adding azithro or any other antibiotic. Discuss w/ nurse; or even better, see the doctor.
