You can ask, but...: Please repost your question with an explanation of why you think the Chiari I is causing your pain. In most cases, a Chiari I is an incidental finding that causes no symptoms. If you ASK a surgeon for an operation and he/she says yes without establishing beyond a reasonable doubt that yours is causing symptoms AND that surgery should help, I advise you to run away from him/her very fast.
