Need more info: Chiari: a serious neurological disorder where the bottom part of the brain, the cerebellum, descends out of the skull and crowds the spinal cord, putting pressure on both the brain and spine and causing many symptoms. I believe that you really need to consult the surgeon who performed your procedure. May not be related to the surgery, but need to be better informed.

Migraine events?: Many patients with migraine events have an extensive workup including mris. There may be incidental finding of a chiari 1 defect. It is rare that this would be the cause for the migraine. Often there is little relief or even worsening of the migraine following surgery. You appear to be one of these cases. Discuss this with your doctor, and look into more appropriate management.
