A member asked:

Are leukocytes in urine elevated during early postpartum months?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: They're elevated in vaginal secretions throughout and immediately after pregnancy, and this often if not always contaminates urine samples to some degree unless it's collected with a catheter. They shouldn't be in the bladder itself unless there's some process of inflammation going on.
