See dentist: If you have not seen a dentist lately that would be the first thing to do. Periodontal disease is a very common condition in adults, roughly 1 in 3 people have some form of the disease and this can cause the symptoms that you are having. Brushing your tongue or better yet using a tongue scraper can help clean the surface of your tongue which can also be a factor. Hope this helps.

Bad breath +floss: Make an appointment to see your dentist. You may just need a cleaning, or you may have a gum infection. A clinical and visual exam is needed to make an accurate diagnosis.
