Need to Know More: Calcium levels are tightly controlled by your body through complex regulation of the kidney's, vitamin D, parathyroid hormone and phosphorous. Free calcium can also be measured, which if done right can give a better picture of the actual calcium level. Bottom line, it could be a lab abnormality, but more information is needed before you just toss this test.
