Yes: Likely a soft tissue problem. R/o muscle injury, hematoma. When you say muscle do you mean down low by the achilles tendon?

Hard to say: Difficult to say without an exam. Could be a hematoma (collection of blood under the skin) or this could be a muscle/tendon tear. Fracture is possible but less likely. If you're having a lot of pain or difficulty walking i would see a doctor for proper evaluation.
