Get new doc.: If your doc cannot or will not explain the stage / prognosis and treatment of your condition in terms you can understand you really should find a different doctor. MM is common and well studied - treatments, staging and prognosis are fairly well defined.

2nd opinion v hospic: Check out http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/multiple-myeloma/basics/treatment/con-20026607 for info on multiple myeloma and its treatments. Get a 2nd opinion (or change physicians - your Family Doc can help you find Oncologist who accepts your/his insurance). If no treatment is desired, consider hospice for comfort/palliative care. Again, your Family Doc can refer or you can ask on own
