A member asked:

Cmp & cbc are normal except globulin is 4.2 & total protein is 8.4? i am freaking out w/ dr. google. 33 years old.....myeloma?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, it is unlikely that you have myeloma. There are other causes of elevated globulins. However it is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without physical examination and additional tests. Consult your doctor.
