A member asked:

Son got his 18 month shots in thigh when they gave him the first shot a good amount of blood squirted out when they pulled the needle out. this ok?!

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually no problem: That happens from time to time, because kids have good blood flow, and can bleed when somebody sticks a needle through the skin into the muscle. Usually, one can just press on the needle hole for 30 seconds, plus put a Bandaid on it... and the little hole will stop bleeding.
