Your IVF specialist: will be the final answer on this, but if you were my patient I would probably say it's ok. Valacyclovir/Valtrex (valacyclovir) has been assigned Pregnancy Risk Category B: No risk in non-human studies such as animal reproduction studies. In general, I believe it is safe to take a medication during IVF if it is safe to take during pregnancy. There is no theoretical reason Valtrex (valacyclovir) should interfere with conception.
