Probably no need: It used to be automatic that young women started having annual pelvic exams at about your age. However, that's no longer the standard recommendation. Consider it when you become sexually active, but even then it may not be necessary. Most STD testing can be done without a pelvic exam, and in the US it is recommended that pap smears start at age 25 (age 30 in the UK and other European countries).
