Stool holding: Toddlers sometimes hold their stool after having 1 or more hard/large uncomfortable ones because they are afraid of this happening again. Softening the stool by increasing her water and fruit (prunes, plums, mangos, peaches) intake can help. Reducing the bananas, white rice and milk in her diet also helps. I would also suspend toilet training until she can go comfortably as it can be stressful.
