Not likely: Although the incidence of death associated with severe dental disease is rare, it does happen. Gum disease can lead to heart, kidney, liver damage, low birth weight, preterm births, etc. in other words, please see a Periodontist, a gum specialist, ASAP.

Probably not: At least from the periodontitis. But left untreated, infections from your teeth and gums can travel to other parts of your body and can cause you harm. Loss of teeth is a result, too. Please seek dental care now.
