A member asked:

One of my ventricles collapsed from my vp shunt over draining will this ventricle get better or stay collapsed & is this dangerous for this to happen?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It Can Be Fixed: It will get better when the cause of the over-drainage is taken care of. You didn't mention any symptoms. Usually something will tip you off, like headache, nausea or sleepiness, etc. It's not dangerous, just a pain in the ---,for you and the doctor. There are a number of ways to take care of the problem; only one ventricle may be a little more complicated, but it's all doable, didn't they tell you?
