Three ways: First, eat healthy foods and avoid foods that promote tooth decay. Second, brush and floss your teeth properly every day. Third, see your dentist for routine dental care (every 6 months) and follow recommended advice and treatment.

Prevention: You should brush your teeth, at least twice a day, after meals, floss the teeth every day and see your dentist at least every year, more often if there are issues to be addressed. Avoid sugary foods and drinks. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco or alcohol in any form. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine.
