Will the antibiotic i'm taking (cotrimoxazole) affect me conceiving?

Not the best idea: This drug is also known as Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim). I would wait to try to conceive until after you are done with this antibiotic. Please talk to your doctor about all your medications before you try to get pregnant, including over the counter and herbal medications.

No: Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication for yeast infections, not an antibiotic. It is not a spermicide and will not have any long term effect on your ability to conceive.
