I'm confused. some doctors say there is an association with liver disease and dupytren's contracture. others say no., just hereditary, which is it?

There is an : An association with significant alcohol consumption but not actual liver disease (remember that you can be an alcoholic without any concerning liver disease). Also remember that an association doesn't mean that there is causation, as in alcohol consumption causing dupytren's contractures.
