Depends: It depends on how relaxed you are. If the first reading was high, the second reading might be higher. Try to take it in the morning and night. All the best.

BP monitoring: So ideally BP measurements should be the same, however, stress, deep breathing, technique, the hardware all lead to variability. what i would suggest is getting a generalized TREND, how is the systolic and diastolic numbers looking over say 20 readings all done throughout the day at random times over 5 days.
