Irregular menses: 31 year old female with irregular periods since your Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD was removed about a year ago. You have already evaluated some of the causes of irregular periods. There are other causes too which include weight changes, stress, level of exercise. Also whatever your periods were like before the IUD was placed will influence how they are after it was removed.
