A member asked:

How can a neurosurgeon tell if a shunt is overdraining?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Radiologic eval: In order to evaluate your shunt, the neurosurgeon would do a physical exam and then a head CT. They often look to see if the ventricles are completely collapsed. Too little CSF around the brain can cause problems too. Make an appointment to see your neurosurgeon and ask.
